England international Ellis Genge took to social media to appeal for help finding two thieves that broke into his Range Rover in London in broad daylight.
The 26-year-old shared footage of the robbery on Wednesday, with the video showing two men escaping the scene with a rucksack that had been inside the car.
The masked duo rode up to Genge’s car before one of them – decked in all black – smashed the rear window to grab the blue bag.
They then rode off with people around them seemingly unaware of what went down, with the pair of robbers needing mere seconds to complete their mission.
Genge posted a video of the incident on Instagram, with an accompanying message pleading for help from his followers in identifying the thieves.
“Broad daylight my car just been done. Middle of Berkeley Square London,” Benge wrote on Instagram.
“Probably no chance but if you do see them about, do me a favour.”
Genge holds out little hope of tracing down and capturing the culprits, with one decked out in all black with little distinguishing features.
However, the other man – wearing grey shorts – in the footage shared on social media is more easily identifiable.
The robbery comes at a particularly inconvenient time for Genge, threatening to derail his final preparations for the season ahead – his first campaign as Leicester captain.
Genge recently described it as an honour to succeed Tom Youngs as club skipper.
Genge – who has been capped 29 times by England – and Leicester kick their Premiership season off at home to Exeter Chiefs on September 18.
