Conor McGregor enjoys more down time as he shares whiskey with Johnny Depp

Conor McGregor has continued to be spotted schmoozing with celebrities as he was pictured drinking whiskey with Johnny Depp.

The pair met in Rome where he encouraged the A-list actor to try some of his own branded whiskey ‘Proper 12.’

The UFC fighter posted a series of photos with the Pirates of the Caribbean star on his social media, even thanking Depp for his hospitality in a caption.

The Irishman wrote: "Myself and John Depp enjoying a fine glass of Proper Twelve on the rocks.

"Thank you for your kindness and hospitality towards my friends and family Johnny! A proper gentleman."

Photos show McGregor, his mother Margaret, and his wife Dee Devlin alongside the Hollywood star.

In the comments, Conor's sister, Aoife, expressed her sorrow for missing out on the encounter. She said: "In the depps of it I wasn’t there."

McGregor and his family happened to meet Depp while they were in Italy for the Christening of their son – Rian.

The Sun report that the MMA ace revealed that he had once dressed up like Captain Jack Sparrow for Halloween.
