Floyd Mayweather delivers bold warning to Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua

Floyd Mayweather has tipped a new heavyweight fighter “to make a lot of noise” and end Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua ’s dominance.

Fury’s win over Deontay Wilder last month to claim the WBC heavyweight title, while Joshua regained the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight championships from Andy Ruiz Jr in December.

With the duo now in possession of all four major title belts, a unification fight beckons should they come through their respective bouts against Wilder and Kubrat Pulev.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has claimed a deal could be reached for the fight to take place in December to determine the number one heavyweight in the world.

However, boxing legend Mayweather believes that whoever becomes the undisputed champ will not hold on to their titles for long.

“Boxing is strong all around the world, and even if I was in the US I would say the same thing,” Mayweather said when asked for his prediction on a potential Joshua vs Fury showdown.

“Just because you win one fight, that doesn't define your career.

“You can be up here today and down here tomorrow, so no fighter should ever take that for granted.

“Anthony Joshua is a hell of a fighter. Tyson Fury is hell of a fighter. It doesn't matter who wins, if I'm not getting paid that's none of my business.

“But the thing about boxing is that there's great fighters all around the world, and there's always someone ready to take that spot.
