Jake Paul called out by female boxer who claims she would beat up YouTuber

Boxer Clarissa Shields claimed she would "beat up" Jake Paul after suggestions she could appear on one of the YouTuber's undercards.

Shields, 26, is the current undisputed light middleweight champion and one of the biggest female names in the sport.

The American, who before turning professional won gold medals at both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics, is currently eyeing a grudge match with Savannah Marshall.

Another top female boxer in Amanda Serrano recently appeared on Paul's undercard, when the 24-year-old beat former UFC champion Tyron Woodley to take his pro-record to 4-0-0.

However, Shields was less than impressed when asked on Sky Sports if she would do the same, labelling Paul's recent bout a "circus show" and claiming she is levels above 'The Problem Child'.

"Don't ever disrespect me," she answered. "I would never fight on the undercard of Jake Paul. I'm a three-division world champion and a two-time Olympic gold medallist in boxing.

"I would never fight on Jake Paul's undercard. I don't know what Amanda Serrano's purse was – I think it was $75,000-$100,000. I would never fight another boxing match for that money because I'm worth so much more. I'm a $1 million fighter.

"Jake Paul was having a circus show. No disrespect to Tyron Woodley or Jake Paul, but I'm a real boxer. I could beat up Jake Paul at the weight class I'm at right now.

"I would never fight on the undercard of someone who does not possess the skills or accomplishments that I have."

Is Clarissa Shields too good to fight on an undercard for Jake Paul? Let us know in the comments section below.

Since making her pro debut in November 2016, Shields has won all 11 of her bouts, two via knockout. She is already the only boxer in history, female or male, to hold all four major world titles—WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO —simultaneously, in two weight classes.

'T-Rex' also has an MMA win to her name, winning her maiden clash in the octagon in June by overcoming Brittney Elkin via TKO.

And while it doesn't seem it's worth Paul's while asking her to fight on his undercard any time soon, he's expected to soon confirm a rematch with Woodley.

The former UFC welterweight champion, 39, has even fulfilled a pre-fight bet to have his wish granted, getting 'I love Jake Paul' tattooed onto his finger.
