Jake Paul "has no clue how to box" as YouTube star releases fresh footage

Jake Paul has been criticised by fans for having “shocking technique” and “no clue how to box” ahead of his upcoming bout against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

Paul, who is set to compete in his fourth professional bout later this month, appeared in a short training clip shared by Showtime Boxing alongside seven-weight world champion Amanda Serrano.

During the clip, the Problem Child fired a series of straight right hands at a heavy bag, while Serrano drilled some combinations of her own in the background.

While fans were impressed with Serrano’s technique, many decided to mock Paul’s ability or lack thereof.

One commented, “Amanda’s form is impressive, kept her hand up after throwing the cross. Jake on the other hand, keep working lol…”

Another said, “Better work on keeping that hand up Jake…cuz when you fight someone who knows how to fight and counter…night night.”

Despite criticism from boxing fans, Paul is clearly not an awful boxer.

How far do you think Jake Paul will go in his professional boxing career? Let us know in the comments section below.

The Problem Child made his combat sports debut back in 2018, defeating fellow YouTube star Deji Olatunji in an amateur boxing match.

Since then, the former Disney Channel actor has turned professional and fought three more times, defeating YouTuber AnEsonGib, former NBA player Nate Robinson and MMA veteran Ben Askren all via knockout.

While the quality of Paul’s opposition has clearly not been the highest, he has totally dominated the influencer boxing scene so far and obviously possesses some degree of skill.

In addition, Paul has no need to focus on ‘real-life’ responsibilities and can dedicate all his time to boxing, unlike most novice fighters.

As such, there is a genuine chance that Paul might become something in the world of boxing.

Maybe not a world champion or an all-time great, but something beyond the amateur level he is currently competing at.

The Problem Child is set to return to the boxing ring later this month against former UFC champion Woodley in an eight-round professional boxing match on August 29.

The bout will be Paul’s fourth professional fight and Woodley’s debut in the boxing ring.

Standout fights on the undercard include Tommy Fury vs Anthony Taylor and Daniel Dubois vs Joe Cusumano.
