KSI has revealed the story behind his now famous YouTube name which has left fans and 'clan' members fuming.
The influencer is currently preparing for his boxing clash with fellow internet star Faze Temperrr this Saturday at Wembley Arena, following the withdrawal of previous opponent Dillon Danis. His own company, Misfits Boxing, is hosting the event which also includes porn star Elle Brook.
A December clash with Jake Paul has also been touted after the 'The Problem Child' sent the British star a contract to start negotiations. But amid the 29-year-old's growing stature within the sport, few will acknowledge that he was christened Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji.

But now he's told all about the reason for his famous alias, which stemmed from his desperation to join a group called the Halo clan.: "KSI actually came from a Halo clan, so this Halo clan called ‘KSI," he told Sport Bible. "I, as a kid, really wanted to join the clan, so my name was just Olajidebt on the Xbox 360.
"I remember going to this chat and being like, ‘Oh, I want to be part of the KSI clan.’ And they were like, ‘Ah, okay, you’re gonna have to change your name to KSI Olajidebt,’ blah, blah, blah. "I said, ‘All right, cool, I’ve changed it, oh my God, am I part of the clan?’ And they were like, ‘Yeah, welcome'. And I’m like, ‘Yo, this is sick'!"
He also explained why original members are now angered, adding: "And then eventually, obviously, the whole Halo phase went and I was just stuck with this name, so I kind of just kept the whole KSI part and just made it my own.
"And now it’s crazy because that clan is just fuming [laughs] because now they all look like fanboys of me."
Regardless of his name, Misfits Boxing isn't the only business venture prospering for KSI. He and Logan Paul, the brother of Jake, are raking it in after launching their Prime energy drink.

It has flown off the shelves in shops, with staggering reports of retailers charging up to £100 a bottle. The rapper has admitted he did not expect the venture to be such a success, saying: "I thought it would do OK, because it had me and Logan Paul promoting it and we both have very big fanbases.
"But I didn’t expect it to be this insane to the point that people are paying £100 for a can of Prime or £25 for a bottle of Prime hydration, it’s going crazy.”
