Mike Tyson defies age in amazing training clip aged 55 with lightning-fast hands

Mike Tyson recently posted a short training montage on Instagram ahead of his return to the boxing ring, and it’s safe to say, the former heavyweight champion of the world is still utterly terrifying.

Despite making his professional debut over 36 years ago, Iron Mike displayed his absurd speed and power as he smashed the heavy bag.

Tyson then went through a series of training drills with coach Rafael Cordeiro and fired some of his trademark combinations as stunned spectators watched on.

The youngest world heavyweight champion of all time captioned the post with a motivational message for his fans, telling them: “You aren’t owed s**t. Fight like hell for everything.”

At the end of the training session, Iron Mike let out a harrowing scream that terrified his 15m Instagram followers.

One commented: “The scream at the end just proved the intensity of his word and actions. Also scary points.”

Another claimed: “Damn he’s 50 and still has the same energy.”

Per Tyson’s current head coach, Cordeiro, he is expecting to return to the boxing ring in September and while an opponent has not yet been announced, Tyson is already deep into training camp.

In an interview with MMA Fighting, the Brazilian coach stated Tyson’s appetite for training has not decreased at all, and they are training with the aim of returning later this year.

“We continue training. He’s an athlete and is always training, hitting pads here in the gym. I think we’re going to have something in September.

“I don’t know who because his company Legends Only League is working on it and negotiating a TV deal so they can announce a schedule, but we’re training. We’ll be fighting in September.”

Tyson’s first comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr. was an enormous pay-per-view success, doing 1.6m buys.

This success will pave the way for even more clashes between retired boxers under the Legends Only League banner in the near future, with the likes of Carl Froch and Oscar De La Hoya also reportedly keen on returning to the ring.
