UFC’s most horrific injuries after Joanna Jedrejczyckis left with hematoma

Joanna Jedrzejczyk suffered a shocking hematoma as she was beaten by Zhang Weili at UFC 248 with the Polish star rushed to hospital following the bout.

She has now been released with no significant injury despite her forehead having began to swell in the third round and got significantly larger by the fourth in Las Vegas.

Not all fighters have managed to get away without serious injuries with broken bones and gruesome cuts a regular occurrence in the sport.

And Starsport has looked at seven of the most brutal injuries suffered in the UFC over the years in the wake of Jedrzejczyk’s horrific blow.

  1. UFC 248 will be remembered for the classic fight between Jedrzejczyk and Zhang – and it left the Polish star with a huge hematoma on her forehead.
