Arsenal fans are pleading with Gunners officials to sign a new left-back following Kieren Tierney's latest injury blow during Scotland's Euro 2020 opener
Scotland face Czechia, on home ground, at Hampden Park on Monday afternoon as they embark on their first international tournament in 23 years.
However, Tierney will not be part of the game, and Steve Clarke told the BBC: "Kieran picked up a little niggle in training during the week."
The Scotsman doesn't have a great injury record at Arsenal, and his latest knock has caused some Arsenal fans to call for a new left-back in the transfer window.
Tierney missed nine games last year with four separate injuries, compared to the 19 he missed last campaign.
"Tierney is really injury prone…we really need a v good backup… don't think young inexperienced LB will do the trick..cause he might end up playing a lot games for Arsenal as KT is getting injured all the time," one fan tweeted.
Another commented: "I'm a big big Tierney fan but his injury record truly is terrible @Arsenal really need to look into getting a decent backup for him. Just can't see him ever going a few months without getting injured. Big miss for Scotland today."
"Tierney not fit to play for Scotland. With his injury record, it’s still very stupid Arsenal decided not to sign a left back in January," a third added.

However, football.london are reporting that Arsenal are set to hand the left-back a new contract.
And Mikel Arteta, who is an admirer of the defender, believes he has captain qualities: “I think he can be Arsenal captain as he has the respect and admiration of every member of the staff and every player.”
