Billionaire West Ham investor Daniel Kretinsky is ‘dating’ 24-year-old Olympian

Billionaire investor Daniel Kretinsky is now the the second largest shareholder at West Ham following his successful purchase of a 27 per cent stake earlier this week.

The Czech businessman has joined the Premier League club alongside associate Pavel Horsky, and will be working closely alongside joint-chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold and vice-chair Karren Brady.

Kretinsky, who is said to be worth £3billion, has previously invested in some of the biggest brands in Britain, and is said to be dating an Olympic showjumper 22 years his junior.

While owning the most shares in Royal Mail, he also has the second most at supermarket giants Sainsbury's, having previously purchased newspapers in his homeland as well as France.

Although he likes to keep his personal life as private, it has been reported that he is dating Olympic hopeful Anna Kellnerova, who will turn 25 later this month.

Kretinsky, 46, who is also the co-owner and president at Sparta Prague, has previously worked with Anna's father Petr Kellner, who had an estimated net worth of £15billion at the time of his death in March.

Petr sadly died in a helicopter crash earlier this year, months after watching Anna compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with the Czech Equestrian Team.

She credited her father for giving her the values required to become an Olympian, noting that he had told her to do what makes her happy.

She said: "He told me that I have to work hard in life, I have to be kind, respectful and happy with what I do.

"Because if you are not happy, you will never be able to put as much energy into work as you need."

Kretinsky is said to have a fortune of £3billion, and is a 94 per cent owner of the largest energy group in Central Europe in EPH, who have four power plants in the UK.

"I am delighted this detailed process has now been successfully concluded," he following the announcement.

"I am passionate about football.

"I greatly appreciate and respect the exceptional history and tradition of West Ham United as well as its loyal and passionate supporter base and also the highly inspiring role it plays in many social programmes and initiatives."
