Jarrod Bowen is on Liverpool's shortlist of transfer targets this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to spruce up his attack.
The West Ham star was one of the main reasons why David Moyes' men had such a successful season.
The Hammers finished sixth in the Premier League in one of their best seasons in recent memory.
Bowen played every game last season in the league, scoring eight and assisting five.
It has led to speculation that the former Hull City star could depart and Liverpool have emerged as a serious option with Reds boss Klopp a huge fan of the attacker.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool could sell Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri this summer after falling down the pecking order in the squad.
But that would leave the Merseyside outfit lacking options going forward – especially in a season with the Afcon set to go ahead.
That would potentially see Liverpool's attack stricken, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane out of action for a month, as well as Naby Keita.
Bowen would arrive to strengthen the squad as he continues to rise to stardom.
His versatility has proved valuable to Moyes, who has utilised him as a striker, a winger and a midfielder.
Klopp loves players who can complete a number of positions as his Liverpool side is known to be fluid going forward.
However, it remains to be seen whether or not West Ham would entertain bids for the 24-year-old after getting them into Europe.
The Hammers have already proved tough negotiators after increasing their valuation of Declan Rice from £80m to £100m after his Euro 2020 showing.
As well as Bowen, Liverpool are looking to bolster their midfielder amid reports that Jordan Henderson could leave.
The Reds captain's contract talks have not made any progress and the likes of Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are interested in the 31-year-old.
