Chelsea fans will pay tribute to club legend Eden Hazard ahead of Saturday’s huge Premier League game against Arsenal by displaying a giant banner at Stamford Bridge.

The 32-year-old hung up his boots last week after leaving Real Madrid in the summer – with his contract being ripped up one year early.

Hazard revealed on Thursday that he made the ‘simple’ decision to retire from football because he wasn’t enjoying playing anymore – and wasn’t eager to ‘play somewhere for the money’.

The Belgian spent seven years at Chelsea, scoring 110 times in 352 appearances and established himself as one of, if not the best, players in the Premier League during that time.

He helped the club win two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, an FA Cup and a League Cup during his time in London.

Hazard is a club legend after seven hugely successful seasons at Stamford Bridge

And Blues supporters will show their gratitude with the crowd-surfing banner, paid for and made by them.

It will be unfurled five minutes before the 5.30pm kick-off, to avoid clashing with the Premier League’s planned minute’s silence for victims in the Israel-Palestine war.

Chelsea have begun to turn their season around after a dire start, winning their last three matches in all competitions.

Arsenal, meanwhile, sit second and are coming off the back of a huge victory over Man City last time out.
