Pictures of Chelsea’s new third kit for the 2020/21 campaign have been leaked online – and the design could cause Frank Lampard’s side to be mistaken for Crystal Palace.
As their nickname makes clear, the Blues are renowned for their powerful royal blue home strip, but on the road they often don white or black outfits.
That looks set to change next season, however, as pictures have began circulating online of the leaked third kit Nike have whipped up ahead of next season.
And the design is likely to split opinion among the Chelsea faithful, as it has a light red base colour with faded blue stripes that are reminiscent of Palace’s famous kit.

Footy Headlines have leaked the unusual strip, which also includes Chelsea’s new sponsor for the 2020/21 season – mobile network company Three.
The shirt has a v-collar and is based on the same template as Paris St-Germain’s third kit.
It is also likely inspired by Chelsea’s ’96-97 Umbro shirt, which was a similar style in the colours of yellow and blue.

Nike are set to release the kit in September after Lampard and co have kickstarted the new campaign.
Chelsea fans will hope to see their side don the new design while playing Champions League football next season.
With 10 games still to play this season, the Blues currently sit three points clear of Manchester United and Wolves in fourth place.

The USA international enjoyed a solid start to life in west London, registering six goals and as many assists in 23 appearances.
Nevertheless, he has been out of action since New Year’s Day with a groin problem.
