Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo is reportedly close to completing a loan move to Barcelona.
According to The Guardian, as part of the deal Barcelona will have the option to sign Cancelo permanently for £21million (€25million).
Cancelo spent the second half of last season on loan at Bayern Munich after falling out of favour with Pep Guardiola.
The Portugal international, who can play as a full-back on either side, has made 154 appearances for City.
Cancelo is set to become Barcelona’s fourth arrival of the summer following the signings of Ilkay Gundogan, Inigo Martinez and Oriol Romeu.

Although Cancelo has just under four years remaining on his contract at City, he may well have played his last game for the club.
Including the first half of last season, Cancelo was involved in three title-winning campaigns while at City.
In addition, he won the FA Cup and two League Cups.
Although he was involved in pre-season, Cancelo hasn’t been involved in any of City’s matchday squads since the competitive action got underway.
