Antonio Conte keen to build on Harry Kane’s return to form as he looks to ‘exploit’ the Tottenham striker’s new found partnership with Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura
- Harry Kane has found net in consecutive Premier League games for Tottenham
- The striker looks like finally returning to old form following barren start to season

- Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is now looking to maximise the trio’s output
The sight of Harry Kane back in the scoring groove for Spurs has put a smile on the face of the manager who never doubted him in the first place.
Now Antonio Conte can start to work on the bigger job – a three-pronged attack made up of the England captain, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura.
‘It is very important to continue to improve in this league with these three players and try to exploit the very best of their characteristics,’ said Conte.
Antonio Conte has managed to find an attacking system to suit Harry Kane at Tottenham
‘We know very well that up front we are very good and for this reason, we need to try to exploit this situation where you are an important player.
‘For sure, up front we have three important strikers – Son, Harry and Lucas.
‘I know that in every game we created chances and to have Harry is a good thing for me, and therefore for my team.’
All three scored on Boxing Day against Crystal Palace and on Tuesday they face Southampton.
Along with Kane, Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min also netted in the win over Crystal Palace
Meanwhile, Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl says his side are not scared of the new-look Tottenham, claiming his players can bring Conte’s high-flying team back down to earth.
Hasenhuttl said of their opponents’ additional threat since Conte’s arrival: ‘It is not so surprising when you speak about Son, Kane and Moura. There is not much better in the Premier League.
‘They are one of the best teams in the league but we are not scared. We have shown against top teams that we can take points, and this is our plan. We will fight for everything.
‘I think it is more important that he stabilised the squad defensively also. This is what he definitely did.’
