Manchester United fans were quick to spot Cristiano Ronaldo's reaction to Anthony Martial's opener on Saturday lunchtime.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made the bold decision to drop Ronaldo – after he gifted United three points in the Champions League – against Everton.
However, the Red Devils didn't need their Portuguese superstar on the pitch to take the lead in the first half.
Bruno Fernandes produced a moment of magic in the middle of the park to release the Frenchman, who cooly slotted it home.
And Ronaldo looked pleased for his teammate as he threw his hands in the air in celebration of the strike.
BT Sport cameras captured Ronaldo standing up, with a smile on his face, and slowly applauding the goal.
Ronaldo was introduced to the fixture just before the hour mark, to the delight of the Red Devils faithful.
The 36-year-old was part of a double substitution that also involved Ronaldo and fellow new signing Jadon Sancho replacing Edinson Cavani and Martial.
However, no sooner than Ronaldo had arrived, Everton had found the back of the net through Andros Townsend after a wonderful move.
