Manchester City new boy could face an awkward encounter with Cristiano Ronaldo should the Portuguese megastar move to the Etihad this summer.
Ronaldo looks set to join Grealish as a City new-boy after the attacker reportedly told Juventus he wants to leave the club before deadline day.
Grealish joined Pep Guardiola's side for £100million earlier this summer after he left his boyhood side Aston Villa.
However, during his Villa days, when asked who he thought was a better player from Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Grealish gave a clear answer.
"Yeah, I'm going to have to say Messi," Grealish told Sky Sports.
Ronaldo is notoriously obsessed with being considered better that the Argentine great, and will no doubt take issue with anyone that chooses the PSG man over him.
In the summer, Rio Ferdinand revealed Ronaldo had text him to slam Gary Lineker for saying Messi was the better of the two.
Grealish himself has drawn comparisons to Messi in the past, most notably from his former Villa teammate, and Messi's countryman, Emi Martinez.
He told talkSPORT: “I just see Messi with a right foot when he has the ball. You can’t get the ball off him. He’s the most talented English player and I’m surprised he hasn’t played more games for England.
“Messi is Messi, he’s the best ever. But in terms of training, when Jack has the ball, people don’t want to tackle him, they respect him, he can finish, he can chop, he can do everything.
“When I train with Messi for the national team, it’s the same. Nobody wants to touch him, he chops people, he treats players like cones. I see that with Jack here.”

However, a series of tweets have remerged online that appear to show Grealish gushing about Ronaldo.
The Telegraph are reporting that the City players are looking forward to the prospect of working with Ronaldo.
Grealish could be one of the players to benefit thanks to Ronaldo's attacking instincts.
City played without a conventional striker when they put five past Norwich over the weekend.
