Harvey Elliott's reaction to Tyler Morton's outstanding Champions League debut has been caught on camera.
The two teenage starlets could be seen speaking as Morton left the pitch after an impressive display in Liverpool's 2-0 victory over Porto on Wednesday night.
Elliott had been watching from the sidelines as he remains out of action after he fractured and dislocated his ankle against Leeds United back in September.
However, this did not stop the former Fulham man from congratulating his fellow youngster as he left the Anfield pitch following the match, with the touching moment caught on camera from the crowd.
In the footage, Elliott can be seen approaching Morton as he walks off the pitch and is visibly excited following his teammate's display.
Elliot smiles and snaps his fingers as he and Morton joke together before heading down the tunnel and towards the dressing room.
Wednesday's match was Morton's first Champions League appearances and just a second Liverpool start for the 19-year-old midfielder.
Morton and Elliott previously played together for Liverpool's youth team but are now establishing themselves in Jurgen Klopp's first team.
Liverpool fans were left in awe of Morton's performance, with many taking to social media to sing the praises of the England under-20 international.
One impressed supporter wrote: “Absolute superstar in the making Tyler lad.”
Another fan added: “The future is bright, he is a wonderful player.”
A third Liverpool fan tweeted: “Wonderful performance by the young lad on his debut, push the limits Morton.”
Meanwhile, another complemented the teenager by writing: “Superb, can’t remember him putting a foot wrong. Very well played Tyler.”
Morton was crucial in the move which led to Liverpool's second goal on the night, scored by Mohamed Salah.
He collected the ball from Alisson on the edge of his own penalty area before hitting a diagonal long ball over the top of the Porto defence to Salah.
Salah played a neat one-two with Jordan Henderson before firing a low effort past visiting goalkeeper Diogo Costa.
The win maintains Liverpool's 100% record in this season's group stage ahead of their final match away to AC Milan in two weeks time.
