Laura Woods was left red-faced twice in quick succession by Erik ten Hag following Manchester United's win over Copenhagen.
The Dutchman joined Woods, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes on the touchline for an interview after the game, which was sealed thanks to a Harry Maguire winner and a last-gasp Andre Onana penalty save. Things got a little awkward as the panel played pass-the-parcel with just two microphones between them, with Woods eventually letting Ten Hag hold onto hers.
She spent the next minute or so standing there like a lemon and was forced to clumsily snatch the mic out of the United manager's hands to thank him for his time at the end. "Thank you, Erik," she giggled. "Thank you for interviewing me as well, that was different."

The situation got even more toe-curling as Ten Hag left. Woods extended her arm for a handshake, only to be left hanging by the former Ajax boss as he said he goodbyes to Ferdinand and Scholes. After eventually shaking Woods' hand, she said: "Thank you very much, double embarrassment, appreciate that Erik ten Hag."
Then, with the 53-year-old out of earshot, she admitted to her colleagues how embarrassed she was: "How weird was that? I didn’t even know what to do with my hands with no microphone and he obviously pied me completely!"

Awkward post-match interview aside it was a good day at the office for Ten Hag, who watched his side record their third win on the bounce. United desperately needed a victory, not least after losing their opening two Champions League matches to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray, but also following the death of club legend Sir Bobby Charlton.

Maguire scored the only goal of the game with 20 minutes remaining, guiding a header from a Christian Eriksen cross in at the far post to send the fans inside Old Trafford wild. Things nearly ended in disaster after Scott McTominay conceded a 95th minute penalty for a high boot, but Onana came to the rescue with a magnificent save.
The win moves United up to third in the group and to within one point of second placed Galatasaray, who lost 3-1 to Bayern on Tuesday.
