PSG have a strong French core consisting the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Lucas Hernandez, who all play alongside Konate at international leve.
Konate has carved out a starting spot in the Liverpool side, regularly starting ahead of Joel Matip and Joe Gomez, alongside Virgil van Dijk at the heart of their defence.
He has also become an integral part of the French team under Didier Deschamps, regularly chosen alongside his former RB Leipzig team-mate Dayot Upamecano.
Konate has a long-term contract at Anfield until the summer of 2026.
