Manchester City are yet to make a statement signing this summer. Pep Guardiola will be looking to add quality to the group as the Sky Blues go in search of more trophies next term. Ruben Dias: City’s standout player last campaign.

Dias was named as the Premier League player of the season after transforming the backline following his arrival from Benfica.

The 24-year-old is a guaranteed starter and will look to build on his impressive debut season.

John Stones: After experienced a remarkable turnaround at the club, Stones is set to continue this journey.

The former Everton defender looked to have no long-term future with City but has regained the trust of Guardiola in style.

Stones formed a strong partnership with Dias, resulting in the Sky Blues ending the season with the best defensive record.

One of the first names on the teamsheet for the club, no new signing will be able to take his place in the team.

Jack Grealish: A potential marquee signing.

Jack Grealish has been linked with a £100million move to the Etihad Stadium this summer, though Aston Villa are desperate to keep hold of their star man.

He is under contract at Villa Park until 2025 and is therefore expected to command a significant fee.

Phil Foden:

Phil Foden scored 16 goals and registered 10 assists as City claimed the double last term.

Foden was very much at the heart of the team’s success and is destined for a bright future at the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo:

The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo would send shockwaves through the Premier League.

Ronaldo is out of contract at Juventus next summer and is understood to be currently considering his future.

City are one of the sides in the race for his signature and are said to be viewing the Portugal international as a Sergio Aguero replacement.

Harry Kane:

Another potential huge deal.

Alongside Grealish, Kane ranks highly on the club’s transfer priorities.

Raheem Sterling:

Sterling responded to his critics while representing England at Euro 2020 – and will hope to do the same in the Premier League next season.

The England international was not at his best last season but will be confident of reaching levels he has shown in the past.
