Man Utd star calls out Solskjaer over Maguire captaincy in clear-the-air talks

Manchester United players are holding honest discussions with the management team following a poor run of results that have seen the Red Devils slide down to ninth in the table.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have failed to win any of their last three Premier League matches and suffered a humiliating record-breaking defeat to rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

Now, a report from The Times states concerns are being aired by both staff and players with a full inquiry underway after the run of results.

It states players hit out at one another and the management staff during an emergency meeting at Carrington with tensions flaring after the 4-2 defeat by Leicester City on October 16.

The United manager is said to have asked for honest opinions on how the team can improve their dire form and the players did not hold back with their brutal responses.

One even reportedly questioned Solskjaer’s decision to captain England defender Harry Maguire just six months after his arrival from Leicester.

After a dressing down behind closed doors, the Norwegian boss will be expecting a reaction on the pitch from his players when they face Tottenham on Saturday.
