Fulham are continuing talks with Fluminense over a potential deal for midfielder Andre.
The 22-year old has been the subject of enquiries from Liverpool and Arsenal in recent months but he is understood to be high on the list of options for Fulham boss Marco Silva.
Fulham want to line up a defensive midfielder for January in case Bayern Munich revive their bid to sign Joao Palhinha from Craven Cottage.
Liverpool wanted to sign Andre for £20million in the summer but his club were reluctant to let him leave.
They are pushing for the Copa Libertadores and Brazilian championship titles and also want closer to £30m.

Liverpool reverted back to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern and, while they maintain interest in Andre, other clubs have since picked up interest.
Tottenham and Manchester United are also aware of the Brazil international.
Indeed, Andre admits he models a lot of his game on compatriot, United midfielder Casemiro but the Old Trafford club ideally want a centre back and striker first if they are able to recruit in January.
Fulham are emerging as favourites for Andre and also want a striker in January with in-form Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, 27, among their targets.
