Solskjaers ‘immediate’ priority he addressed on return to Man Utd from Norway

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer returned to Manchester United this week after a holiday in his native Norway with his future hanging in the balance.

He knows another run of form like the one United experienced before the international break will leave club chiefs with no other option but to call time on his reign.

So after resetting with a week off in his home country, he got straight back to business at the start of this week in preparation for a busy run of games.

As per The Sun, his first priority was to 'immediately' try to lift the mood at the Carrington training complex.

The report claims leading members of the dressing room are 'growing disillusioned' with Solskjaer's approach.

But he is determined to get United back on track and is taking an upbeat approach to try and spread his positivity.

Many of the Red Devils squad have publicly shown their frustration this season and it seems that's also the case behind closed doors.

Will Solskjaer turn the mood around? Let us know in the comments section.

Donny van de Beek was seen making an outburst from the Old Trafford bench after being snubbed, not subbed, by the Norwegian once again in September.

And Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes have argued during games more than once, with both seemingly annoyed at United's tactics.

They ease back into the Premier League schedule with what should be a straightforward match away at Watford on Saturday.

However, the midweek Champions League trip to Villarreal which follows is a pivotal point in the season.

United narrowly edged the Spanish side at Old Trafford, and while a draw would suffice this time, a loss would be catastrophic.

Solskjaer can put his best effort in to try and uplift the squad morale, but results will ultimately determine the mood.

A lack of a certain replacement has saved his job so far, but failing to progress to the Champions League knockout stages for a second straight season would be a fatal blow.
