Ange Postecoglou hails Tottenham’s ‘outstanding’ pressing in win over Fulham
Andrea Cambiaso’s agent has named the price that Juventus may consider if a bid is lodged during the January transfer window. Tottenham are among a host of sides rumoured to be interested in the utility man, who has become a regular fixture for the Turin giants this season.
Spurs have history at the negotiating table with Juve, striking deals for Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur since January last year. Chairman Daniel Levy could open talks for a new target when the transfer window reopens this winter.
Reports in Italy suggest that the Londoners are keen on Cambiaso, and the player’s agent has not shied away from discussing the interest his client received during the summer.
Although Tottenham were not named explicitly, Giovanni Bia suggested that a bid of £22million may have done the trick, adding that he and Cambiaso will wait on the Bianconeri to make their feelings clear on a potential exit.

“There were a couple of Italian clubs [that showed interest during the summer],” Bia told TuttoJuve. “One that came out of the woodwork was AC Milan, and three or four Premier League clubs were also very interested.
“We were not surprised that Juve considered him non-transferable, they would have sold him only in return for an offer of [£22m-26m]. He has a long contract and will still have to work to prove himself.

“Then it will be Juve themselves who will call us to communicate their intentions, but right now we don’t think about it at all. He only thinks about playing and doing well with this jersey, then things will come by themselves.”
Cambiaso came through the ranks with Genoa, embarking on a sequence of loan spells before signing for Juve last year. The 23-year-old has had to wait patiently for his chance in the first team, but a temporary stint at Bologna last term seemingly convinced Massimiliano Allegri that he has what it takes.
Although most frequently deployed at left-back, Cambiaso can also play on the opposite flank, as well as in midfield. That kind of versatility should appeal to Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou, who has made a red-hot start to life in the Premier League.
The Lilywhites may therefore have an advantage over rival suitors if a transfer tussle emerges in January, with targets sure to be enticed by the buoyant atmosphere around the club.
