Liverpool talisman Virgil van Dijk shared an amusing exchange with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, revealing the Frenchman has not replied to a text message he sent.
Van Dijk led the Reds out as captain on Tuesday night as Jurgen Klopp’s side survived a first-half scare to beat Villarreal 5-2 on aggregate and seal their place in the Champions League final on May 28.
And post-match Van DIjk, before conducting an interview with CBS Sports and after being told that Henry was in their studio, said: ‘Titi. I text him but he didn’t text me back!’

The question was indeed posed to Henry back in the studio by host Kate Abdo as to why he hadn’t replied, with the Frenchman explaining: ‘I actually don’t have his number anymore. So text me… I’ll go to someone else to get his number.
‘I changed my number and when I put all my numbers on my new phone, his wasn’t there.’
Then, with ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher and former Man City man Micah Richards laughing in the studio, Carragher asked: ‘To be fair tonight has been a little bit of lack of respect from Thierry…
‘I mean Virgil van Dijk, CBS not wearing a tie, this is a little bit of a theme here. He’s a top guy, he’s shown you that respect and you’re not getting back in touch.’
Henry was then mocked by Jamie Carragher (second-right) before he sharply fired back

Henry then coolly replied: ‘He didn’t text the right number! I’ll get him. You’re actually upset because he’s texting me!’
Van Dijk has been an integral part of the Liverpool team gunning for an unprecedented quadruple this season.
They will play either Man CIty or Real Madrid in the final in Paris, while they are challenging City for the Premier League title and face Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 14.
